The Lamborghini Countach, produced from 1974 to 1990, is one of the most iconic supercars ever made and the car that defined the poster era of the 1980s. With its sharp, wedge-shaped design by Marcello Gandini and dramatic scissor doors, it broke away from traditional car styling and set the template for all future Lamborghinis.
Underneath, early models carried a 3.9L V12 with around 370 hp, while later versions like the 5000 QV and 25th Anniversary pushed output closer to 455 hp, delivering a top speed of about 295 km/h. The Countach was raw, loud, and impractical—poor rear visibility, heavy clutch, and scorching cabin heat—but that only added to its wild charm.
Loved for its outrageous looks and uncompromising attitude, the Countach became the ultimate dream car of its time, a rolling symbol of excess, speed, and Italian flair. Even today, few cars capture the same shock factor as the Countach.
